Vidya And Lage Raho Munnabhai Director Hirani To Reunite
The director will join the actress and Anil at Independence Day flag hoisting in Melbourne
Come August 15 and the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, that celebrates Indian cinema internationally, will kickstart. You already know that Vidya Balan will be the face of the festival, which is now in its 4th year (Vidya stands up for equality, July 5).
And she won't be the only one there. Guess you've heard how Anil Kapoor will be hoisting the Indian flag at the Federation Square in Melbourne on the eve of Independence Day. The actor even confirmed the development.
That's not all. We hear, PK director Rajkumar Hirani too will be present at the tricolour hoisting event. It will be a reunion of sorts for Vidya and her Lage Raho Munnabhai director.
In the Master Stroke section at the event, Anil will present his latest film Dil Dhadakne Do and the classic Mr. India. Other than that, widely appreciated documentaries on India by Australian legend Paul Cox and the newly restored classics of Satyajit Ray - Charulata and Nayak will also be featured.
Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Nikhil Advani, Simi Garewal, Imran Khan and Fawad Khan too will be in attendance.
